How do I set up and use my solar lantern? Setting up your solar lantern is easy!

1. Remove the plastic battery tab.

2. Turn the solar panel switch to the “on” position.

3. Install your lantern supports.

4. Hang your lantern in direct sunlight (6 hours for best results) with the solar panel facing up toward the sun. Once the sun goes down and it gets dark enough, your lantern's photosensor will turn the LED on automatically!

Can my solar lantern be left outside year-round? Yes, Allsop Home & Garden Lanterns are designed to survive the outdoors! Our fabrics are tough and we use stainless steel hardware that can handle the weather. While we expect multiple years of service, they will experience normal wear over time. Some consumers choose to take their lanterns down in winter, especially in areas with heavy snow and ice, to help maintain the longevity of the fabric.
